Here at AC, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact, and playing our part in a more sustainable, greener future. We’re delighted, therefore, to now be a certified carbon neutral business, awarded to us by Carbon Neutral Britain.
Turning insights into action
We have been measuring, and aiming to reduce, our carbon footprint here Automation Consultants for some time, but this year we took real action, partnering with Carbon Neutral Britain to actively offset our carbon emissions.
In February 2025, we received certification that AC offset over 180 tonnes of CO2e, demonstrating the impact of our efforts. We were also awarded certified carbon neutral status.
Why does this matter?
In taking action now, we can work towards a more environmentally responsible and, hopefully, positive future.
Carbon Neutral Britain reaffirms the importance of early action in the fight against climate change:

Taking a carbon neutral stance to our work and service delivery also reinforces our ethos as a business committed to both planet and people. We’re proud to be a ‘Great Place to Work’ winner for wellbeing, and we know that climate change is a core concern for many of our team members.
In fact, research from Global Tolerance found that almost half of UK workforces want to work for an organisation that makes an impact on the world. We recognise that working with an environmentally conscious business also matters to many of our customers and partners.
Lastly, whilst we’re excited by the increasing innovations in AI, and seek to empower our customers to maximise value from emerging tools and solutions, we’re very aware that these leaps in technology also have an environment impact. No matter how small a part we may play, we’d urge all organisations to consider a scheme like offsetting, to take action to reduce our collective carbon footprint.

Verified by Carbon Neutral Britain, AC had to undergo a rigorous process to achieve carbon neutral status. Starting with a thorough auditing of our emissions, we then committed to certified carbon offsetting projects.
Once we were officially recognised as a carbon neutral business, we received our Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP), designed to reduce future emissions and ensure we’re aligned with both UK Government Requirements and Science Based Targets.
This is our first official, and significant, step in becoming a more environmentally conscious and proactive business. We look forward to continuing this journey as a certified carbon neutral business, and working towards a greener tomorrow.
