And we’re back! Fresh from a few days in Barcelona at Atlassian’s flagship European event, we’ve got lots to share with you.
Let’s jump straight into the Team ’25 Europe product updates and innovations, that you and your teams need to know:
Cloud migration momentum
As you will no doubt know, Atlassian recently announced time-frames for Data Center End of Life, cementing plans for a Cloud-first future.
During his keynote at Atlassian Team ’25 Europe, Mike Cannon-Brookes, CEO and Co-Founder of Atlassian, gave a compelling insight into why teams are, or should be, investing in Cloud:
‘The Atlassian Cloud Platform powers up all your apps and agents to help your teams thrive. In this new world, all your apps have access to the teamwork graph, bringing the power of your organisation’s memory to your work… and Rovo sits at the heart of our portfolio. This is how we bring the Atlassian System of Work to life…and set you up for success in an AI age.’
The message is clear: Atlassian is committed to equipping teams with the power, tooling and intelligence they need to thrive in an AI-driven landscape. The Atlassian Cloud Platform – with its collection of apps, agents and the ever-evolving teamwork graph – will underpin this success.
Cloud for complex and highly-regulated organisations
Now, throughout Team ‘25 Europe, many of you will have heard great excitement around Cloud-only innovations. This sentiment will no doubt extend to this article too, as there’s a lot to look forward to.
However, it is evident that Atlassian recognises the complexity that some customers will face in their Cloud journey. For some of you still on Data Center, perhaps with strict compliance requirements, there may be challenges.
The Atlassian Isolated Cloud (available in early 2026) may be the answer some of you need and, during the keynote, Cannon-Brookes also shared that Atlassian teams are working hard to fulfil data residency requirements

Most notably, Atlassian unveiled additional governance controls at the Team ‘25 Europe event, with ‘Units’.
What are Units?
Atlassian Units enable customers to isolate sets of users, apps and data across your sites. Use cases might include enterprises with different subsidiaries, or client sites which need to be kept separate.
Each Unit can adhere to its own set policies, like data residency agreements, or different app access, and has its own teamwork graph, Rovo and AI agents. Crucially, data is not shared between Units, ensuring clear boundaries and strict governance controls.
Where are you in your Atlassian Cloud migration journey? We can support you, no matter your complexity or compliance requirements. From highly regulated industries to multiple site consolidations, let us guide you through your journey to the Atlassian Cloud.
Teamwork graph enhancements
Alongside Cloud infrastructure, notable updates around the Atlassian teamwork graph were announced at Team ’25.
Continuously learning from each interaction your teams have across the Atlassian Cloud Platform and integrated third-party apps, and having tracked 100 billion objects and connections to date, the teamwork graph is an immensely powerful source of data intelligence, layered beneath every one of your Atlassian apps and agents.
So, it was exciting to hear the following three key new updates to this:
New connectors: The Atlassian teamwork graph will accrue even more knowledge and data, from new third-party applications and integrations.
Graph APIs for Forge: You’ll be able to programme the teamwork graph, using business logic to query it.
New assets: In Mike Cannon-Brookes’ words, the teamwork graph will now be ‘materialised’, meaning it can track physical and digital objects – adding a whole new layer of knowledge and context.
💡 Spotlight on Assets
Previously only used in Jira Service Management (JSM), Assets is now a global platform app, joining Focus, Talent, Home and more. This means it is included in all Collections across the Atlassian Cloud Platform.
Why do Assets matter?
By enabling the tracking of assets in the teamwork graph, you’ll open up a plethora of additional insights, combining physical or digital assets with knowledge assets (like service requests or work items).
This will enable Rovo and AI Agents drawing on the teamwork graph’s powerful data layer, to deliver information and actions with even greater context, relevancy and accuracy.
What’s new with Rovo?
Now that we’ve set the scene for Cloud innovation, it’s time to focus on the heart of the Atlassian Cloud Platform: Rovo.

Let’s start with the news that drew the biggest applause (there were whoops and cheers!) at the keynote: Rovo is now included in Standard plans.
Previously, we shared that Rovo was (almost) free for everyone. Now, it truly is – and it’s also now available across the entire Atlassian product suite, from JPD and Focus, to Bitbucket and beyond. (Previously Rovo was only available in Confluence, Jira and JSM).
And for organisations who don’t have existing Atlassian licences but wish to use Rovo? Atlassian announced that standalone licences would be available in an Early Access Programme (EAP) in December 2025.
Additional Rovo enhancements
During the keynote, Mike Cannon-Brookes shared that Atlassian has been adding enhancements to Rovo every month, which is notable. Let’s look at some of the significant announcements here:
Rovo now supports over 50 connectors, and this list continues to grow. Big names include Databricks, HubSpot and DocuSign.
Rovo Search for Jira is due to release end of October 2025, and recent enhancement have led to increase in search relevance of 30% – all of which saves valuable time for users.
Rovo Chat can now decode images and files, turning them into knowledge you can work with. Let’s say you upload a photo of a physical whiteboard following a team brainstorming session. Rovo Chat can take that image and translate it into tangible actions, alongside finding related work and reference links.
Rovo Studio now enables you to include ‘web search’ as an Agent action, pulling real-time web results into agents, chats and workflows
Rovo for Mobile and Desktop apps are due to be rolled out soon
We expect Rovo to keep evolving at pace. Here at AC, our dedicated team are keeping up with it – and keeping you in the know!

Introducing the Service Collection
Remember back at Atlassian Team ‘25 in the US earlier this year, when Atlassian launched the Teamwork and Strategy Collections to the world? Well, at Team ‘25 Europe, two new Collections have arrived.
Let’s explore the Atlassian Service Collection first.
Jira Service Management (JSM), is one of the most popular ITSM platforms, used by over 65,000 to serve their employee and IT needs.
There are some exciting developments regarding JSM and Rovo which we’ll share in a moment But first, let’s look at the newest member of the Atlassian toolset – and a core app within the new Service Collection.

Welcome to your dedicated Customer Service Management (CSM) app
Atlassian first announced the CSM app in beta around five months ago, during which over 600 customers and partners took part.
A big announcement at Team ’25 Europe was that the CSM app is now generally available.
Customer service agents are often overwhelmed – juggling multiple channels, navigating different systems, and trying to resolve issues as quickly and accurately as possible. Atlassian’s new CSM app, which enables automated triage, seamless handover to human agents, and more, addresses this head-on.
💡 CSM app success
One stand-out stat, which Anu Bharadwaj, President at Atlassian, shared during the keynote, was this:
Using the new AI-powered CSM workflows, teams have been able to reduce Average Resolution Time (ART) from eight days to eight minutes.
Imagine that kind of efficiency at scale across your business teams, too. (On that note, take a look at our dedicated Service Management for Business Teams solution – designed to leverage ITSM processes across wider business areas for greater efficiency, structure and cohesion…)
Back to Jira Service Management (JSM)
Now we turn our attention back to JSM.
There are two new Rovo-based offerings worth shouting about:
Rovo Service: Onboarding can handle actions such as creating a personal onboarding plan, spanning multiple teams such as IT, HR, Operations, and Finance. It links all necessary work items, requests and approvals, and assigns them to the right mix of humans and virtual agents.
Rovo Ops: Root Cause Analysis, meanwhile, uses the teamwork graph to trace dependencies and surface recent changes that may have triggered an outage. It can even pull contextual data from development tools, helping teams diagnose and resolve issues faster, and with greater confidence.
And now, back to the Service Collection
The major news is that both these apps, JSM and the newly launched CSM, alongside Assets, form the newly created Atlassian Service Collection – a cohesive collection of apps, agents and knowledge.
How have you been handling your onboarding? A custom Rovo Agent could be just what you need to standardise and enhance your onboarding processes – and you can see one in action in our recent webinar! Watch now to discover the impact Rovo Agents can have on your work, with real-world results.
Software Collection
In the software development space, Atlassian has been focused on improving productivity and satisfaction, something which CTO Rajeev Rajan spoke passionately about during the Team ’25 Europe keynote.
Atlassian’s recent acquisition of DX is notable, and we’ll take a closer look at this across the coming weeks. In this article, however, we’ll focus on the newly announced Software Collection.
What’s included in the Atlassian Software Collection?
Again, as with the Service Collection, and the more established Teamwork and Strategy Collections, the Software Collection combines a carefully curated selection of apps, agents and tools to provide a holistic and effective software developer experience.
The core apps are:
Rovo Dev, billed by Atlassian as an ‘AI teammate for planning, coding, reviews, and automating repetitive work at scale’
Bitbucket Pipelines CI/CD automation
Bitbucket, notably available in both Cloud and hybrid licences to support those customers on Data Center
Compass, a catalogue to enhance standards and governance across your
And the aforementioned DX, the newest addition to the Atlassian Cloud Platform

And there’s more…
There were multiple exciting updates to apps within the Strategy and Teamwork Collections, which we’ll bring to you in a separate article, including innovative new use cases for Rovo.
Across all the new Collection launches, Cloud enhancements and compliance work, and ever-evolving scope of Rovo, the standout for us is the pace at which Atlassian is innovating.
