Today, we’re taking a closer look at one of Atlassian’s newest offerings: The Atlassian Strategy Collection.
Unveiled at Team ’25 Anaheim, the Strategy Collection has been designed to enhance enterprise agility and strategic planning – and we’re here to tell you all about it.
We’ll explore:
What is the Atlassian Strategy Collection?
At Team ‘25, Atlassian announced a new approach to the Atlassian Cloud Platform, whereby carefully selected Cloud apps and Rovo agents are now combined in ‘Collections’.
The Atlassian Strategy Collection has been designed to meet the needs of enterprise leaders, combining apps and agents to enhance visibility, goal tracking and reporting.
What’s included in the Strategy Collection?
Currently, the collection includes:
Talent (currently in Early Access Programme)
Also included are a number of Rovo agents, each designed to fulfil specific use cases aligned with enterprise agility and management.
By combining these apps and agents into one cohesive, ready-to-use package, Atlassian aims to equip enterprise leaders with a tightly integrated, holistic range of tools – without users needing to source products themselves and build a makeshift enterprise techstack.

This guide will help you understand the true costs of transformation - both visible and hidden - and how Jira Align can drive lasting value for your organisation. How will the Strategy Collection benefit you?
What is it that enterprise leaders most need in their day-to-day roles? Based on our experience, we’d suggest visibility, instant access to real-time data, and intuitive planning tools, might top the list.
Let’s look at each of these in a little more depth and explore how the Strategy Collection can improve these elements.
Visibility
When you’re at the top of a fast-moving organisation, with multiple teams, business areas and revenue streams, you need a bird’s eye view of how work on the ground is progressing. What’s more, you need that oversight delivered quickly, and with only the most relevant data points.
First launched at Team ’24 Europe, Focus can deliver these kinds of insights. You can set goals, which are reflected across all apps within the Atlassian Cloud Platform. This means that any team, using any Atlassian Cloud app, can align their work to these overarching goals and remain both committed and accountable.
Crucially, you can also track the progress of these goals from within Focus, alongside monitoring work on the ground, to ensure you’re aware of any potential bottlenecks or limitations from the top down. Focus also enables you to connect your financial data to the tool, so you can keep track of budgets.
Collating all of this information into Focus ensures you can keep pace with your teams, and their contribution to your organisation’s goals, from one centralised, secure hub.
Instant data
We covered some of this already in the above section, such as financial information in the Funds area of Focus. Now let’s look a some of the other data you can access across the Strategy Collection.
The newly launched Talent app acts as an integrated people directory, enabling you to swiftly identify the skills different teams possess, and reallocate talent to different focus areas or projects accordingly. To support with this, the Strategy Collection includes a new Rovo Agent, the ‘Talent Advisor’, which can search for employees with a specific skillset to meet the demands of a particular project.
These kind of insights can support ROI (Return on Investment) predictions, alongside long-term resourcing strategies – again, without any context switching.
Note! We understand that Talent is still in an Early Access Programme.
Planning capabilities
Whereas Focus and Talent are new additions to the Atlassian Cloud Platform, Jira Align is a more mature product, and has been used by leaders to manage enterprise planning and Scaled Agile for several years now.
With Align, you can prioritise, monitor dependencies and report on outcomes for a truly bird’s eye view of how work is progressing – and how it ultimately contributes to your organisational goals in Focus.
Note! The Atlassian Strategy Collection is free for existing Jira Align users.
Are you an existing Jira Align user, keen to optimise your processes and realise greater value from your configuration and integrations? Or perhaps you’re new to the tool, but would like to understand more. Why not book a free Jira Align and Enterprise Strategy workshop today?
And, of course, more time…
We snuck in a bonus one. We all need more time, don’t we? Unfortunately, Atlassian’s new Strategy Collection can’t pause the clocks. But it can make your activities more efficient – particularly when you use dedicated Rovo Agents.
We haven’t touched on Rovo much yet in this piece, but Atlassian recently announced that Rovo is now free for all Jira, Jira Service Management, and Align users on Cloud Premium or Enterprise plans.
As such, leaders using the Strategy Collection will be able to benefit from Rovo’s powerful enterprise search function (drawing together data from multiple third-party SaaS applications in use across an entire organisation), Rovo Chat for queries and simple AI-powered tasks, and Rovo Agents for more specific use cases – all at no extra cost.
The Rovo Agents included in the Strategy Collection will undoubtedly save leaders time, by completing otherwise manual tasks, sourcing and delivering enterprise data at speed, and generally making processes more efficient and streamlined.
Benefit from a unified ESP platform
Ultimately, the Strategy Collection combines three powerful apps (Focus, Talent and Align) into one singular Enterprise Strategy Planning (ESP) tool, which provides a more secure, efficient and collaborative experience for leaders when compared with using separate or disconnected tools.
How will the new collection benefit teams on the ground?
So far, we’ve focused on the impact that organisation leaders will experience. But what about the benefits that the Strategy Collection can deliver to engineers and other teams at ground level? Those actioning the work that contributes to high-level goals?
One of the key pillars of successful enterprise agility is a working culture built on trust. Team members need to be trusted not only to deliver what’s expected, but they themselves need to feel safe enough to fail fast, learn from mistakes and work autonomously.
With greater visibility of the progress of projects and the status of goals, leaders should feel more confident in their team’s output. This trust should then filter down to foster a collaborative and open environment, where all team members recognise their accountability, and feel trusted to deliver their work.
How do you access the Strategy Collection?
You must be an Atlassian Cloud Premium (minimum) customer to use the Strategy Collection. Existing Align customers can access it at no extra cost.
Atlassian answers more details around access and pricing here, in these Strategy Collection FAQs.
